In 1996, Mr. Charles Wong and his brother, Mr. Keith Wong, founded the ladies footwear brand – Charles & Keith. Over the years, with its unique blend of innovative marketing concepts and product development, the eponymous shoe label from Singapore has managed to place itself at the forefront of the retail footwear industry.
Dedicated to the young and trendy, Charles & Keith develops a distinctive line of fashion forward designs that caters to market sentiments and fashion accessories in fast velocity.
The overwhelming success of the first Charles & Keith store in Amara Shopping Centre spurred the brothers to move forward with confidence and determination. Not satisfied with merely dominating the local scene, both brothers saw opportunities in the overseas markets. With Charles’s business acumen and Keith’s design flair, the company embarked on its international venture in 2000. They started with countries such as Indonesia and Philippines, which share similar climate and culture as Singapore.
To date, Charles & Keith’s global network covers more than 180 stores across 25 countries including Bahrain, Brunei, Cyprus, Egypt, Estonia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Latvia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. The worldwide uniformity of the brand is managed by the Charles & Keith International division, religiously guided by our successful franchise model.
In 2007, Charles & Keith launched its accessories collection, comprising of shades and belts. The brand also launched a product line extension in Singapore and Indonesia – Charles & Keith Signature Label. The new line further expanded to Iran, Vietnam, Jordan and Turkey.
